In the 1850s, Marx's critique of the East India Company included along similar lines as other left-wing contemporaries, that it only served to benefit its shareholders rather than Britain as a whole

In the 1880s, his critique of the British invasion of Egypt was that it would benefit Russia

Largely in response to economic downturns in the 1870s, European powers began aggressive colonialist tactics, including, in the 1880s, the Scramble for Africa

While later communist thinkers like Rosa Luxemburg saw colonialism as central to capitalism, Marx did not see it in those terms

It’s weirdly American to do that. Like, today I was at the Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin, for instance.

But it is notable how in Americ, as soon as something becomes “just” it is never “left.” The instant “slavery bad” became mainstream, it stopped being a part of the left/right system

Oh one of those bands. For me it was The Murder of Rosa Luxemburg. Although I think they released two. Cause there is one online but it’s not the one I remember.

„Schauen Sie sich nur mal an, auf wie vielen Verschwörungskanälen Hannah-Arendt-Zitate stehen? Wie oft wird mit Kafka argumentiert oder mit Rosa Luxemburg, „Die Freiheit der Andersdenkenden“. So etwas nehmen die auf wie ein Staubsauger, semantical reloading nennt man das in der Wissenschaft.“

There’s an allegory in Germany in the late 1920s and early 30s. The anarchists, communists and socialists attempted to ally with the SPD, the social democrats, to push for severe reform in the Weimar Republic. The SPD, finding them too radical, executed Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht.

"We are not fighting for the distribution of wealth, but for the destruction of the very categories of 'rich' and 'poor' that define the human condition under capital." — cited as Rosa Luxemburg, 'Resistance and Decolonization, 1970s', IMPOSSIBLE ATTRIBUTION, Luxemburg was killed in 1919

Give me one real life example of someone holding a sign at a protest that says something like "Black Lives Matter" or "Protect Trans Kids" who ended up like Rosa Luxemburg and I'll reconsider if it's the dumbest thing in the world to cut off the heads or blur the faces of protesters
Every time I make a post mocking NPIC security culture I catch like 5 blocks and I love that so much, real snowflake energy

En 33,le KPD était séparé du SPD parce que le SPD avait fait assassiner ses membres, dont Rosa Luxemburg, même pas dix ans avant.

Faut arrêter de dire de la merde.
