Poison ivy (Anacardiaceae: Toxicodendron radicans) is well-known for causing contact dermatitis in most people. A compound in the sap called urushiol typically causes an itchy red rash. In spite of this some animals eat the leaves and birds eat the white berries. Blissfield Michigan, 24 Jun 2025.

Es España creo que no tenemos hiedra venenosa (Toxicodendron radicans). La de la foto es una Hedera. Si buscas en internet, que es lo que acabo de hacer, verás las diferencias.

I love walking past this beautiful Anthurium Luxurians x Radicans. There are 3 plants that grew in there from one baby plant. I'm probably going to need to repot and separate them; can't wait for these leaves to grow even bigger though! Hope y'all's week is going well so far!

Here is poison ivy (Toxicodendron radicans) with fruit. Notice that the fruit is white and not very fleshy. Birds do love the fruit and apparently they are not affected by the urushiol contained in the plant. Who has a picture of the fall color on poison ivy? Post it in the comments! #nativeplants

Campsis radicans? So long as it's not near a man-made structure, I'd let it do its thing. It will insinuate itself under eaves etc though.

Not the direction I usually photograph the terrace, but I’m sitting here with a lemon and ginger, looked up, and was rather taken with the sunlight on the Campsis radicans
