Do GP patients feel involved in decisions about their care?

Since 2018, around 60% of respondents to the GP Patient Survey have said they were 'definitely' involved as much as they wanted to be.

The latest data found 82% of adults aged 18–64 in England who were receiving long-term support for a learning disability lived in their own home or with family, the highest proportion in the last 12 years.

We found that half of 16 to 24 year olds required three or more interactions with a healthcare professional from a GP practice before being diagnosed with cancer, compared to one in five people across the whole population.

CQC ratings for #SocialCare services have been getting worse in recent years. In 2019, around 15% were rated as 'requires improvement' compared with around 26% in 2025.

In the latest #NHS staff survey, nurses and midwives were the mostly likely to say they would feel secure raising concerns about unsafe clinical practice, whereas medical and dental trainees were the least likely.

The obesity rate for 10-11 year olds in England was 22.1% in 2023/24.

That's down from 25.5% in 2020/21, after falling for the last three years.

Mortality rates are consistently higher for males than females, but the gap has narrowed over time.

In 2024, the mortality rate for males was 1.5 times higher than the rate for females, down from 1994 when it was 1.4 times higher.

📢 We’ve updated our NHS performance dashboard with the latest headline figures 📊

It includes the overall waiting list for planned hospital treatment, which fell slightly in September after rising for three months in a row.

We also have data on waits for A&E and cancer treatment. #QualityWatch

There is extensive evidence that smoking in pregnancy can cause harm to mothers and their babies.

The prevalence of smoking during pregnancy has decreased steadily over time, down to 6.1% in 2024/25, around the NHS England target.
