I think this is the most logical in reality where you have to balance cost v ridership. Parkdale and Jane need better transit and cost to build along that alignment would be cheaper, but the prompt is maximizing ridership and it’s hard to argue against going through the most populous part of Toronto

I would rather extend the Ontario Line to Dundas West (4 km / 2.5 mi) with stops in Parkdale & Roncesvalles. And then do Jane from Bloor to Finch (12 km / 7.5 mi) to have a western north-south route. Down the road, the Ontario Line needs a northern extension and Line 4 needs east & west extensions.
