Curiosity is certainly a trait on the ADHD side and might be linked to continuous improvement (which may also be an attempt to better understand yourself). Biggest indicator is if many of your friends are neurodistinct. Which I only figured out after my own diagnosis two years ago.

Absolutely. The whole point of agency is getting to write your own story. With a very neurodistinct close family (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, dysgraphia ….) I’m particularly vested. I’ve found Robert Chapmans Empire of Normality very valuable

Neurodivergent gets my goat. Because it assumes a norm to be divergent from & that norm is culturally and economically specific. Neurodistinct is better as everyone is distinct. It’s not perfect. The term neurodivergent came from a neurodistinct person so it’s messy. & language is important

Hey neurodivergent friends, I get a newsletter every week about steps people can take to be better allies. This week the author is celebrating Neurodiversity Awareness Month and refers to neurospicy people as "neurodistinct." As a neurospicy person this gives me the ick. What do y'all think?

Being a neurodistinct individual, I'm often challenged by various things throughout my day. While I'm adapted the majority of the time, there are a few bumps in the road when trying to express myself in a positive manner. One such way I have learned to express myself is through digital artwork.

Too often, neurodistinct individuals are expected to fit into systems that weren’t built for them. But what if we flipped the perspective—valuing differences as strengths?

Will you join the revolution?

Brand New ABA, 2025.
Do Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) teams target e.g. stimming in autistic people?
When asked, they tell us that they do not do so any more.
But, in this survey of 170 of them, it turns out they do.
A lot.
Who's unsurprised?
