Neuro-symbolic Agents – Agent Ecosystem = AGI
I’m going to start a series of short posts with bite-sized insights on how to build an ecosystem of neuro-symbolic agents that, in its final phase, results in an AGI.

The fix requires training-time intervention. HUST's Neuro-Symbolic Curriculum Tuning improved CoT accuracy +3.95 by explicitly training on boundary cases.

Inference-time tricks can't overcome what wasn't learned.

The System 1/2 framing feels relevant now with chain-of-thought models. Is explicit reasoning genuinely "System 2" or just System 1 pattern-matching at a meta-level?

Neuro-symbolic seems like it matters more as agents need to compose reasoning reliably.

He wasn’t the only one but he advocated for a neuro symbolic approach. I also like his system 1 & 2 reasoning.

This is not what I build just for clarity. I build a mixture of experts systems between Neuro Symbolic agents.

What if AI could learn AND explain its decisions?

That’s Neuro-Symbolic AI 🧠⚙️
→ Neural networks for learning
→ Symbolic reasoning for logic
→ Trustworthy & explainable intelligence

This is the future of enterprise AI.

It's ironic that we've been saved from Skynet or Colossus by LLMs eating all the damn funding. I have a very sketchy layman's grasp of neuro-symbolic AI, but I suspect that may well be where AGI is lurking. Maybe. Don't quote me.
