The real reason my game engine would be controversial is not anomaly detection.
Its that I basically gamified battle demerits. So that players would rather destroy their own spaceship than face the wrath of a vengeful case officer.
This is quite different from literally building a weapon.

To me the real issue is having to declare yourself a soveriegn to get fascist types to back off.
