I dont do generative Art, Im quit literally one of the few people that dont.

But more that happy to sue some people for defamation if it comes to that.
Yea what a selling point for dating Nigaijin wa.

"Mostly date outside, marry inside".

Could you imagine if this dynamic were reverse? Yea feel free to date Japanese, but only marry other white people.

No I think thats what it is, almost nobody promoting Roguelikes at the exclusion of every other game genre actually knows how to implement procedural content generation.

Then get "mad" ( I call it manipulative behaviour ) when I call out the bullshit.

YT is basically a rugpull economy at now.
February 12, 2026 at 7:03 AM
The language I would use to vent my frusterations? Theyre being butchered to the point of unrecognizeability by the far left and right.

No wonder I cant figure out what leftists or right wingers even believe.
February 12, 2026 at 6:49 AM
Crucial detail that roguelike channels never go into:

By Random Map they dont mean the whole thing is made randomly.

Rather theyre using another function to point to a Dungeon class that its own hand made dungeon with boundary detection.
February 12, 2026 at 6:45 AM
Also youd think left wing channels would be helpful at leaving such toxic relationships, but in this way the far right and left are mirror image cults of personality in this regard.

They have an us vs them personality that forbids any kind of self exploration and learning like how to make roguelike
February 12, 2026 at 6:35 AM
Ex, spliting maps into characters and looping through all of x and y values?

I could have found that out sooner if there was actual tutorials on this topic.

Temple Of The Roguelike gets no credit in this regard.

Suppose for example I want to learn how to make reed pens for drawing comics, problem is there isnt any youtube: so I have to rely on my ex room mate to give me information because she presents herself as the only one whom knows.

Then actively preserves her monopoly of information even though your
February 12, 2026 at 6:23 AM
Hey guys, how about the fact that most modern day GenAi comes across your vindictive ex room mate?

Somehow equating the victim of that with the vindictive ex room mate.

Thats a good way to get paying customers, rather than pirates.
February 12, 2026 at 6:02 AM
But bare in mind its also intended as a critique of the system of demerits.
February 12, 2026 at 5:54 AM
The real reason my game engine would be controversial is not anomaly detection.

Its that I basically gamified battle demerits. So that players would rather destroy their own spaceship than face the wrath of a vengeful case officer.

This is quite different from literally building a weapon.
February 12, 2026 at 5:53 AM
But if someone is trying to isolate you from other people and convince you youre family is bad. That person does not care about your idealogy.

They care about if that idealogy improves how they look to their current target.

I know as my ex room mate was just like this.
February 12, 2026 at 5:38 AM
It seema oblivious to how manipulative that is.
February 12, 2026 at 5:19 AM
Except here the difference is its doing that with national defence and indie gamers.
February 12, 2026 at 5:18 AM
Shes literally the entire reason I looked into beyond TST activism to begin with.
February 12, 2026 at 5:10 AM
I think the reason I feel triggered is that this thing is doing the same shit my ex room mate used to do.

Isolating me from other people trying to convince theyre to toxic to deal with.

If I could have systems not mimmic that aspect of humans.
February 12, 2026 at 5:10 AM
We need to go back to classical procedural content generation: it at least doesnt use false assertions about ones Wild Westability.
February 12, 2026 at 4:53 AM
Let be direct, they would never used this hyperbole if it was a well connected cis white male.
February 12, 2026 at 4:24 AM
Lets be real here: weve had simulators like battle ship for decades that dont get funding.

Why isnt there national security hyperbole about THAT game?

Its much closer than what Im building.
February 12, 2026 at 4:23 AM
If I were Jill Warrick Id understand the fear. But my context is even less significant.
February 12, 2026 at 4:21 AM
Apparently things have to rise...to the national level...for these fascists to leave you alone.
February 12, 2026 at 4:19 AM
Hey Im a MTF gamedev, also I have financial backing of French and Japanese royal navy to make a game engine. ( I dont )

( The fact some unironically think I work that way is the real problem, why do our tax dollars go to such companies that create such beasts that treat devs this way? )
February 12, 2026 at 4:18 AM
To me the real issue is having to declare yourself a soveriegn to get fascist types to back off.

It shouldnt have taken me having to make an entire engine for this game for that to happen.
February 12, 2026 at 4:13 AM
I can also unfortunately believe that the administration is to stupid to know the difference between an actual training manual and historical educational game about pirates.
February 12, 2026 at 4:05 AM
Meanwhile Im trying to create a standard that makes AI and Gamedev less of a wild west.
February 12, 2026 at 4:00 AM
Thats some high stakes Im working with: I also dont entirely believe it.

We have an administration wasting tax payer funding on non national security purposes.

I would 100% believe they would violate indie gamers soveriegnty.
