I thought newbies to game design might find the attached thread interesting and useful. In it, Doc analyzes a number of small, annoying errors in Stellar Blade, and as the errors mount up, it's easy to see how not fixing these small common elements can really throttle your players' enjoyment.
stellar blade at first: it's actually not bad, an 8 out of 10
stellar blade slightly later: it's a 7 out of 10
stellar blade now: 6 out of 10 and falling fast

How bad, you wonder? Well you see, if you look straight ahead and hold W, your character will walk straight ahead... and slightly to the right.
Combat is a knockoff Mount & Blade system without any of the nuance or unit numbers, but all of the mobbing that makes it impossible to solo anything.

As a kid, The Lord of the Rings, plus 2008's Mount & Blade, got me hooked on everything adventure, swords, and legends.
There might be a cool game behind Knight's Path, but as Kingdom Come showed, when there's a whiff of dodgy remarks, it just sours the whole thing.
Why is this genre like this?

If you’re thinking of supporting this game or the devs in particular, maybe rethink it.
They’re publicly either rejecting or refusing to acknowledge homosexuality, same-sex acts & intimacy and the existence of queer people in medieval history.
