How are the monarchs. We still have big patches of milkweek, no Monarch Larvae - they are noticeable.

Appropriately spooky and halloween colored aphids-- oleander aphids, I think? Ladybugs are working on it.

Omg this milkweek conversation is driving me crazy I've planted tons of milkweed in Maryland they're native and they helped monarchs which are endangered. The homeowners association doesn't like weeds they like grass That's what all the fuss is about

In the U.S. not long ago, commodity farmers were incentivized to replant milkweek to create butterfly highways. It probably went a long way to prevent the collapse of the monarch butterfly population.

Although, don't ask my neighbors about all the milkweek they have growing in their yards now. I can't control where the wind takes all that lol

Asclepias curassavica, Tropical Milkweek, is a native milkweed from America. Monarchs will lay eggs on it – and it makes an attractive addition to the garden, very popular as a nectar source. Get it in two varieties: Gold or Scarlet.
