But since my buddies on discord helped me theorize that KOTPOTA is a retelling of the myth of Theseus and the Labyrinth, what Greek retelling could we have next? I'm thinking of one that involves the underworld and Persephone. Orpheus and Eurydice? Psyche and Eros?

If Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was based on Hamlet, then to keep the story feeling like Shakespeare, the KOTPOTA sequels could take inspiration from Romeo and Juliet.

I noticed something about the final scene in KOTPOTA.
It's implied the satellites are from the Very Large Array (VLA) in New Mexico, a radio telescope that allows astronomers to see objects in space.
So both Noa and Mae end the movie with telescopes. I just think that's neat!

I became obsessed ever since the first teaser for KOTPOTA came out in November 2023. I have always liked POTA a normal amount, but the new one sucked me right back in. And that's awesome! I only saw the new one in theatres once, but I wanted to watch it again so bad

my concern is more with whether it'll be a situation like illumination's mario where it's a film that fans will get the most out of, whereas for others not so much
there's things about kotpota i liked, loved even, but narratively i just found it super underwhelming

I was so disappointed by KOTPOTA because I’m a big POTA fan. I just didn’t think the story or the characters were all that interesting.
