James Ledergerber, who lives near Kindlewood Trail in Brooksville, reached out to Tampa Bay 28 reporter Erik Waxler after seeing earlier reports about poor road conditions in some Pasco County neighborhoods. https://wfts.tv/41YwS29

what I do know is: the kindlewood redevelopment is a model admired across the country. Zero displacement, resident-led; a process that's been ongoing for almost a decade. Creating that rarest gem of all: genuine, actual, new, high-quality subsidized affordable housing.

Kindlewood Phase 3 is, AFAIK, currently under review for Low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC). LIHTC applications usually require proof of proper zoning/special use permit (or that no zoning/SUPs are required). I personally don't know how the rezoning ruling will impact the LIHTC application.

(quick disclaimer: i don't personally know anything that's not public info re: kindlewood, i'm just posting as a concerned neighbor)

The cville rezoning ordinance being stalled out by a frivolous lawsuit brought by wealthy dipsticks is bad enough facially, but i'm genuinely worried about a cornerstone affordable housing project in Charlottesville: Kindlewood, formerly friendship court.

Today was my first time back at Kindlewood since 2023! It was great to see familiar and new faces. One of the kids asked about the book slide that we used during the pandemic ✨🚌✨

Kindlewood is a good example of this - stacked townhouses and apartments are the two types of buildings they have done in the first phase.

Kindlewood Estates is growing! We just opened two new residential regions. Our current residents have already begun making home selections and it will soon be open to the public with plenty of choices remaining. If you're interested, hit up Scar Littlepaws and we'll add your name on the list

Huge thanks to Kindlewood for letting me throw my hubby’s @masonstar.bsky.social birthday bash there! Shoutout to all our friends for coming through & making it a night of skating, music, games, weed, chaos, & some questionable life choices.
Y’all are the best! 🎉🛼🎶🔥

Kindlewood residents are designing the new public park at the center of their neighborhood.

Today they hear presentations from Prof. Barbara Brown Wilson's students looking at examples from around the U.S. of how art can be used as culturally responsive design elements in public spaces.

Rose hill joins trailblazer which they wanted and makes sense. Kindlewood still moves to BM.

So this is better for the rose hill/dice/kindlewood neighborhoods?
March 15, 2025 at 8:16 PM
The new proposal suggests moving rose hill, dice st and kindlewood neighborhoods but letting most of locust grove stay put so they can walk.

The school division can’t clearly articulate how moving kids in Kindlewood will helps those kids in school. This in turn makes the justification for redistricting families who live across the street from Burnley-Moran feel pretty flimsy.

Here is one of those "I finally wrote a song like one (of those) I love I thought I'd never be able to write! Well, when you have the awesome inspiration of Shae KindleWood ALL things are possible!

I’m very unimpressed by Dr. Gurley’s proposed elementary school rezoning map. Makes Kindlewood go to Burnley-Moran. Has people living across the street from 250 go all the way to Greenbrier. Leaves Greenstone divided. Ignores many committee recommendations.
