All Indonesians who heard the news were furious and devastated. I shouted on X, demanding that the central government investigate the transparency of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) regional government 💔🥀🥺

It's because the other Southeast Asians with more online presence are jealous that Indonesians are, in terms of personal charisma, the coolest Southeast Asians, so we don't talk about them.

What's weird is Indonesians are perpetually online and very into social media, but they're really not that interested in posting in English

My favourite joke about Indonesia is that the modal human being (Chinese man named Mohammed Vishnu who lives in a huge city and makes $10k a year) basically describes most Indonesians

But, if his family make a video that they need help for the boy situation and upload the video to the social media, I'm 1000% sure all Indonesians will help to them, include me 😭🥺🥀

[👄📝]: "Moki, you shouldn't always blame the government" I know, they were civilians like me before. That's why I like to encourage Indonesians on the internet to be better people.

Also today's news :')

I guess the larger thing I want to convey is this. The US is not exceptional. It was not the sole bastion of freedom, nor was it the sole perpetrator of evil. And now, the authoritarian swing is something that many places have been through. Americans can learn from Indonesians, Hungarians, etc...

Indonesians are still living under colonial law - i just published this opinion piece in Kompas. www.kompas.id/artikel/indo...
Indonesia Masih Hidup di Bawah Hukum Kolonial
Hukum itu dirancang untuk mengamankan tanah, tenaga kerja, dan sumber daya alam demi keuntungan kolonial, sambil menekan perlawanan.

"COMEDY IS ONE OF THE WEAPONS TO SPREAD AWARENESS, SINCE NOT ALL INDONESIANS GOT PROPER EDUCATION! We're grateful that we got proper education, what about the poor???"

Indonesia launched the Global Citizenship of Indonesia scheme on Jan 26, aiming to engage its diaspora by offering benefits such as lifetime residency. Many overseas Indonesians find it unappealing to counter brain drain share.google/cMFATJPzbAMd...

In 2003, Tolé Madna and Mima Saimah (Saïna) were recognized by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations — the first and only Indonesians honored for Holocaust rescue. Their story shows that heroism can come from unexpected places.

Jamu is an Ancient Indonesian Tonic With Turmeric and Ginger
Indonesians swear by jamu. Families have their own recipes carried on from one generation to the next. Spices, roots, and herbs such as turmeric, ginger, and tamarind are traditionally ground into a thick slurry with a mortar and pestle, then consumed as either a shot, warm drink, or a chilled refresher. Jamu experienced a resurgence in Indonesia during the pandemic, as more people turned to food and drink that offered health benefits.

Remind me again, why did Indonesians vote for Prabowo again?
February 2, 2026 at 2:32 AM
It's said he's not included in the Righteous Among Nations. There are two Indonesians included, Tolé Madna and his housemaid Mima Saïna. In 1942 Tolé's Dutch ex-wife asked him to shelter Alfred Münzer, 10 months old. Alfred survived the war then moved to US, Mima died in 1945. Tolé lived until 1992.

Yes, but only after reading neo-nazi terrorism. Knew about Malay power before, having read abt the context of the region before; makes total sense considering 1. Sinophobia 2. Ethnic supremacy of Malays against Indonesians. Really great piece; I would honestly argue a pattern for certain groups

Did that agreement protect the Koreans? The Vietnamese? The Indonesians? The Brazilians? The Iraqis? The Congolese?
