Patron saint of chaos. Beautiful bastard. Reviewing books on Asia. Probably the only heterodox in Asia.
I asked this to Grok (it needs more positive works I suppose) and it said that according to the CDC, the average weight for adult American men is 200 pounds and for adult American women 172 pounds.

As scary it is for me, this 185 pounds figure could be...right.

The weirdness of women's sports writing goes from "First women's athlete to play 100 games" in 2016 to "First female to play 100 games" in 2026.

Following Aussies come with cricket posts just like following Republicans come with college football posts.

While X hides likes Substack now shows which posts did following liked. So be careful.

Meanwhile on Bluesky it's someone saying the users must act better and others saying "we don't want nazis here", and I still don't understand what's going on.

It's summertime in Australia. This is an Indonesian R&B set in a LA supermarket.

Before the pandemic some Chinese restaurants in Australia deliberately hired Taiwanese students, asked them about Taiwan on day 3, fired them and then posting the incident to advertise themselves as "a patriotic restaurant".

I wonder if Uber drivers in Europe are doing the same. For chatgroup clout

My province might have the longest Christmas & New Year school holiday (it's formally called that) in the world it's still holiday this week. The reason is government's discretion.

Parents are surely unhappy, as for children it depends which you ask.

Have a strange feeling (it's 2 am) that had I been an Aussie, people offline and online would have scrutinized my politics more than now I am as an Indonesian.

Perhaps it's true: In Indonesia people want to check your religion, while in the West people want to check your politics.

You're right, they are lovely pieces. And well, the other two contributors happened to teach me. Have mixed feelings right now.

Oh I eager to know what it is. Quite ashamed that in my quest to get a postman bag in the mall, as I didn't find any khaki (& not sure about the cleaning) and leather is out of budget, I settled for a plastic H&M that pretends it's leather. Uniqlo meanwhile is very honest of its plasticity.

In CAD it's $3.75. Affordable and can be a good value if you share or for multiple consumption, but can be too much for other.

I guess the analogy is a plate of something that's $13.75. Okay for some, too expensive or not worth it for others, or a good deal for another person.

An American mutual just used Bali as an example of something an American might expect (the distance makes it different for Aussies) and I'm really touched.

Meanwhile Indonesians didn't go to Bali last week over storm & reputed Balinese rudeness to local tourists, and picked my city instead.
