Interacting galaxies NGC 672 (center) and IC 1727 (lower right) about 24 million light years away. I'm pretty sure the bright line beneath them is the chance capture of a Geminid meteor.

NGC 0672 and IC 1727 Galaxies - telescope processed image. NGC 0672 is a barred spiral galaxy that is gravitationally interacting with the neighboring, smaller galaxy IC 1727. NGC 0672 and IC 1727 Galaxies - unprocessed image. IC 1727 is an irregular galaxy that shows more distortion and asymmetry than its partner, NGC 0672, due to their interaction.
