Hello! I've taken commissions here and there from friends and family since I started my art business in 2019. People would also ask every now and again at events. I found the most success with getting commissions on r/hungryartists & r/commissions. Hope this helps!

Yeah, deviantart kind of sucks now. But! The sub Reddit forum "HungryArtists" forbids AI and is pretty active :)

Most worth their salt won't do it, but /r/hungryartists has an official anti-ai stance and is doing what they can to take out the trash.

Don't want to use AI, but feel like you can't afford human artists? Almost all of the artists we use were met first through r/hungryartists. There are a lot of talented amateurs in there, you just have to look and do some filtering.
