i just realised that king and diva are the only two ruka outfits that weren't revealed before they actually became styles. gothloli appeared in the game, suit on the album cover, baseball was revealed early with the collab preview and white suit was the anni visual

gothloli also isn't smth she'd wear but framing it as yuki's fantasy and the actual SS being the usual playful ruka who doesn't look awfully uncomfortable made the execution work but diva goes against everything that's ruka 😭 and they made things worse for me by posting an AB comm where yurippe

yeah the animation is what bothered me the most bc that's not ruka at all 😭 (and did her swords have to break). i think it ended up souring a more fem ruka for me even though i loved gothloli. it's funny how 2/3 out of the rukas released in 2024 were so ooc that king from an AU was the most in-chara

Ah the emphasis should rather lay on GIRL. Touka is definitely wearing feminine coded clothes, but not sure if they're a girl. The GothLoli is real tho xD

i haven't used her in forever so i forgot but i just pulled gothloli ruka on en and i had the volume down so i didn't recognize her when i heard her soft polite voice but it's so obviously ruka when you hear the second half and i looove that contrast 😭 (this is what diva unfortunately lacks)
