Crucible of Words (@crucibleofwords.bsky) replies: "This is just the gay panic all over again, trying to remove a minority sugar of women from society. Once biggie claimed they had to keep lesbians out of women's spaces, now the same strain of bodies are trying to do the same for trans women." Brap replies: "It's really not. No one is trying to remove trans people from society. We just don't want men in women's spaces. In many countries, Lesbian groups are banned because of trans rights e.g. Australia."

Close. The same people behind Project 2025 are also the ones who kicked off the gendercritical phenomenon with The Nashville Statement. Having a demographic that could be scapegoated and persecuted without legal protections was politically useful.

Trans expression is being very deliberately tainted by #GenderCritical proponents utilising some of the real tragedies of Intersex kids to befuddle helpless and very lazy politicians with power. Trans kids for a "best interests" resolution need puberty blockade at Tanner Stage 2 if at all possible.

They never mention that key figures driving these bans are all connected to a global far right and reactionary movement to roll back gender rights. SEGM is the respectable face of this movement they use to undermine access to care. SEGM members have driven the bans on GAC in Europe and the US.

My late pal Brenda was very proud to volunteer at Sandyford Gender Service; making people welcome & outlining the support then, to be expected. I'm so glad she's not seeing this. Same with Gladys.🙏💔
