Hallo, willkommen in der Snailworld! Heute: die Radschnecke (Gastropoda rotae)
Die Radschnecke vergisst niemals ihren Schutzhelm und gleicht ihren holprigen Fahrstil mit viel Schleim aus.
Eine auf einem Fahrrad sitzende Schnecke hat ihren Helm aus einem kleinen Schneckenhaus aufgesetzt. Ihr Rad besitzt zwei Schneckenhäuser als Räder, aus denen Schleim tropft. Die Fahrradlampe steckt in einem Schneckenhaus, und auf dem Gepäckträger sitzt in einem größeren Schneckengehäuse eine kleine Babyschnecke. Das Ganze wird gerahmt von einem Fries aus leeren Schneckenhäusern und Nacktschnecken.

maybe I were thinking of sea hares, tho?they are vaguely (same class (gastropoda), different families), but I don't think sea hares can do this (they're very silly creatures -- I've seen a bunch up close)

Die Wickelkinder der Schnecklinge (Gastropoda nanus) sind noch winziger als die adulten Exemplare. Zum Schlafen werden sie in Gruppen im Moos abgelegt. Also Vorsicht beim Spaziergang im Wald!
Vier winzige Babys stecken in verschiedenartigen Türmchenschneckenhäusern, die im Moos liegen. Eines lächelt zufrieden im Schlaf, eines schreit, eines lutscht am Daumen und eines träumt ganz still. Die Szene ist gerahmt mit einem Fries von Schnullern, Rasseln, Milchfläschchen, Strickschuhchen und -mützchen sowie einem Plüschbären.

Hallo, willkommen in der Snailworld! Hier gibt es Schnecken zu sehen, die noch niemand je zu Gesicht bekommen hat! Heute: Schnecklinge (gastropoda nanus)
Ein großes und ein kleines Schneckenhaus stehen auf kleinen Füßchen nebeneinander. Sie besitzen dünne Ärmchen mit zarten Händen, die über der mittleren Wölbung ihres Schneckenhauses wie über einem Bauch liegen. Die größte Windung des Schneckenhauses bildet eine Art Ballonrock, die vorvorletzte den Kopf und die letzten beiden Windungen einen winzigen Dutt. Bei der kleineren Schnecklingin sieht man aus der Öffnung einen sehr kleinen Schneckling herausschauen. Sie hält zudem an einer Schnur einen Schneckenballon, in dem eine Kerze brennt. Das Motiv ist gerahmt mit einem Fries von Blättern, Nacktschnecken, Salatköpfen, Äpfeln und Monden.

Heuschnecke (Gastropoda fenum)
Die Heuschnecke ist eine Kreuzung, von der nicht ganz ausgemacht ist, ob es sich dabei um einen Schneck oder um einen Schreck handelt.
Der Rumpf dieses Tierchens besteht aus einer Türmchenschnecke, während Kopf, Beine und Flügel die einer Heuschrecke sind. Es besitzt lange Fühler, die Stengeln und Rispen von einer Art Wiesenschwingel gleichen, und damit auch auf die Welt der Botanik verweisen.

Sie ist sehr scheu und zieht sich daher oft in ihr Haus zurück.
Am Meeresufer steht eine Katze mit vier Hühnerbeinen, die ein reich gemustertes Schneckenhaus tragen. Die Hühnerfüße zeigen nach links, während der Katzenkopf nach rechts aus der Schneckenhaus-Öffnung ragt. Rechts vorne liegt das Skelett eines komplett abgenagten Fisches neben der Katzenschnecke.

Actually, that's an insult to slugs, because slugs actually have rudimentary brains in the form of neural ganglia (bundles) which serve as very primive brains. I offer my sincere, heartfelt apology to the noble slug and to the entire class of gastropoda.
