But either way, it'll show a ton of results which feels overwhelming.

Maybe also add in some "Essentials" filters, like Open, No Fee, and Simultaneous Submission?

Instead of looking through all of them, you can sort by Most Bookmarked (what do other writers like?) or Followers (what's popular?)

You can actually filter by that! You can type in a number in the "word count" section after you select a genre (like fiction).

However, I'm not sure if that's quite right for your purposes, since many lit mag guidelines only specify a maximum word count.

Sorry about that! Our website can definitely be a lot to navigate. 😅 For your specific goals, I'd go in Filters -> Genre (I'm guessing either fiction or nonfiction?) -> Flash.
