The few sections in the Furscience book that touch on babyfurs are really interesting from a sociology/social psych/stats nerd perspective: 2nd most hated sub group, likely only slightly more than nazifurs. Yet skew the results for fiscal success and volunteerism.

According to the 2020 furscience Con survey, 12.5% of respondents were trans, which is a very high amount compared to most population groups.
So this would hit the community intersections hard.

I have yet to know the full details of the controversy of Garden State Fur The Weekend convention. But, I know enough that there's a bit of misinformation and disinformation going along with it. That is why we must be very careful in where we get our sources from and doing critical thinking.

This is an interesting angle, but keep in mind Atari manufactured more cartridges of Pac Man and ET than their console sales. People got disappointed with both and returned their copies. There was a loss in confidence in the quality of games after the novelty wore off, and games were expensive.
