The manual for the original 400K 3.5" drive Sony produced (the OA-D30V) appears to refers to the media as both "Micro Floppydisk" and "diskette" interchangeably.

I don't know if Sony used the term in the original marketing (they seemed to prefer the term "Micro Floppydisk") but they seemingly did later.

I think this is a really just an interesting "firefly / lightning bug" type discussion for vintage computing hobbiests :)

Epson kannte ich bisher vor allem als Hersteller von Computerdruckern. Hier aber mal ein 3,5"-Floppy-Disk-Laufwerk, voraussichtlich aus Anfang der 1990er-Jahre.
