And another week has ended, flying by in what has been, quite frankly, a bit of a blur. Work is a little odd at the moment, for a variety of reasons. Not bad odd, but busy and potentially taking unexpected turns. Makes the days pass quickly though, I guess. I have a run of half days and days off the next few weeks, aided by the Bank Holiday at the end of the month too, so looking forward to them.

And now we reach the end of June. Near enough the halfway point in the year. If I was a philosophical person, I might take time to reminisce and think of all that has happened in those first six months - change of job, trip to Norway, trip to see the Puffins, read lots of books - but I am as philosophical person with a very short attention span, so that's as far as I am going to go with that one.

Well, I don't mind admitting that last week feels like it was more like last fortnight. But I survived. MIght not have done a lot - and that includes not having achieved a lot reading wise. But what I lacked in volume (or page count) I made up for with enjoyment, and I can't be unhappy with that. Managed a nice long walk on Sunday, caught up on my reviews, and am rounding the final corner of my June review reading list.

And there we have it. We have passed the end of the 'week I didn't go to Harrogate' and I survived. I'm not convinced I have come away from t with less books than normal, but hey. Girl needs a way to unwind. Speaking of which, my 'unwind' trick this past week was a trip back up to my happy place, the Northumberland coast.
