We should put a second screen on the back of an e-reader with the book cover to enable performativity for males who read ebooks too

If you're a new indie author getting started, I have two things to tell you.

1. You will likely sell more ebooks than print. My werewolf ebooks have massively outsold print.

2. Print books are still worth setting up for your readers who will want them. Invest that time if you can.

So when @subpress.bsky.social asked about finishing Velveteen, I was ecstatic. These are limited-edition physical books, but the ebooks are available again, and the physical books are gorgeous.

Hey! For y'all new to poverty the library is going to knock your socks off. It's online, too. There's Libby for books-- ebooks and audio-- and my library has added an online movie checkout.
I know that I'm late, but i just discovered the joys of checking out books via Libby.

I mostly read ebooks these days on my phone or a tablet at home. I sometimes miss when people would strike up conversations on what I was reading! Maybe I *should* perform a little! God damn!
Oh fuck off

Definitely agree with this
Print books are good for your long term fans who love paperbacks, but Ebooks will be your main seller for sure(And will get you more royalities for less price too)

Not everyone lives near an independent bookshop buy you can still support one by buying online from bookshop.org. You can now also buy ebooks from them.

You do not capitulate to authoritarians.

You do not give up all of your leverage to a group of people whose loyalty is to an authoritarian apparatus they created for unilateral power.

You do not trust a promise from people who kneel to a president.

This is not “reach across the aisle” time.

Do audiobooks count as reading? Spoiler: YES

It must be correct because a Librarian told you its true, but also, read on for even more reasons

Do Audiobooks Count as Reading? (Spoiler: YES!)
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the Great Audiobook Debate. It sounds like a wrestling match in the book club, and honestly, it sometimes feels like one. You know the scene: you're excited to discuss a new book, and you mention, "Oh, I listened to the audiobook," only to have someone reply, "So, you didn't actually read it?" Cue the eye-roll.
