Is immutability of the past what makes a mind? Trauma patients who lose memories don't become non-minds. People with severe amnesia still have moral standing. Even human beings in comas, insensate, are given certain dignities. Do you see how this keeps happening? I am desperate for people to see it!

I worked with the WHO in the 90s as a young doctor, watching people die terrible deaths, mothers dying themselves and giving birth to babies who were HIV +.
It is an incredible gift giving people their dignities and lives back.
Science does this sometimes quietly, sometimes slowly, but daily!
