DesignDoll is so good for figuring out positions with any proportions, but I sure wish we could pick other feet shapes because Sonic proportions are kinda nightmare fuel ngl

If it's looking as if I came up with the poses fast, it's because I was using "designdoll" to come up with the poses, as a bonus here is a screenshot of the ref sheet I used for this project. You can see them near the top.

Designdoll is an okay tool, I just wish it were available for mobile.
The world of mobile reference apps is a barren wasteland. I used to used Magic Poser, but they completely changed themselves to chase microtransactions.

I have a 3D model (made of boxes and a couple of details I could import without crashing DesignDoll) to keep the overall layout consistent but past me is prone to adding little flairs in some panels that future me forgets about

oh right, almost forgot, i figured out how make some pose ref programs my bitch for this sorta stuff. i overall prefer designdoll but it doesnt come preloaded with props like justsketchme does so idk

Step 3: Created basic shapes and figures. As a basis for each, I used a combination of figure reference books I have from photography, and I dabbled in some free figure posing software. JustSketchMe and DesignDoll are a couple good ones I tried.

Lots of references and liberal use of 3D models to overlay on, like DesignDoll and Clip Paint Studio.

For the record: DesignDoll isn't bad, it's just awkward to use. I expect better functionality, personally, out of a $40 (iirc) program, but it's whatever. I hate that everything starts out w/ ultra-skinny kid Anime proportions. The amt of fiddling around I have to do to get what I want is annoying.
