I had to teach myself something resembling art for Wizardologist. In my case, I was lucky enough to be able to leverage experience with photo editing that I knew some tricks to turn my pixel doodles into something a little more eye-appealing.

100%! This is also why my art is just colorful vector shapes. It's because I can't draw to the level I want it to be. My limitations have given birth to my art style.
To let you in on a little secret: why do I draw a lot of ghosts and creatures without full faces? I straight up cant draw faces so I just don’t! (My profile pic took absolutely ages) I’m slowly working on it, and in the meantime I work around it. Work with your limitations. You’ll find your style.

One of the coolest things from PAXU that I got to engage with was @nickferris.bsky.social's A Wizardologist Most Hexasperated, a very slick little social deduction game that took roughly 5 minutes or less per game.

One of the biggest surprises for me when showing Wizardologist at #PAXU were the amazing compliments on the art. I am not an artist or graphic designer at all. At best, I'm a photographer with some experience working with images and clip art. No AI was used.
