On Thursday, Marvin and I will talk about Dynamic Multi-Cluster Controllers With Controller-runtime. Within sig-multicluster we are working on http://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/multicluster-runtime, an extension of controller-runtime to write controllers that talk to many clusters.

if you were to choose between typing your route / controller request vs having a strict schema (think "zod" and alike) you should choose a schema, because that is a proper runtime security control.

I added an extra / at the end of a route prefix in our API. A little ole / brought down the entire API at runtime. I would have expected it to break that controller but I was surprised it got everything. The worst thing is it was a run time issue and not caught during the build.

Enabled monitoring in docs.sdcio.dev and expose metrics using the new mechanism in the controller runtime. The rbac proxy is getting depreciated (book.kubebuilder.io/reference/me...)
Documented how to use prometheus operator to get metrics. Would love people to try.

I am not handling player input directly in the character is mostly because I want a single place where I can disable it. I would need a way to make sure the ref gets clear if the controller brain is allowed to change at runtime (currently it should not), but that can be done with a signal.

Getting the nav mesh agents to play nice with the character controller components has been an insane hassle of refactoring code, going through forum posts, and referencing the docs. Right now, entities still run into walls, so I don't even think it's calculating paths at runtime correctly...

Note: You can build an NPC/Enemy Controller such that a single flag determines if the character is trying to kill the Player. That way, it's easy to flip that flag at runtime.
