It seems for those with near unrestrained power having at least one person whose job it was to mock you and your dumb as shit ideas provided an important check on dangerous excess.

His footsteps on the plank floor were the only sounds to punctuate his departure. Legon appeared in the passageway at his side, handing him his sword. “Dorilian!” But Hans knew the angry man would not look back. Just as he had not looked back when he had left Stefan on the Rill platform at Permephedon.

Matt holds up his score with the original number scratched out and a 2 being written next to it. Alex grabs Matt by the collar and shouts, "2?! I did NOT buy a new swimsuit to get the lowest score!" Jacob says, "Alex it's not that serious." Alex smirks and says, "heh. Good thing we saved the best for last." Matt looks at her annoyed and says, "huh? But I didn't bring one." Jacob holds up a bag and asks, "why do you think we stopped at the store?" Matt is revealed with swim trunks covered in little ducks. He gets perfect 10 scores from all his friends. Alex says, "oh it looks great on you!" Jacob comments, "it was the only one in your size." Matt storms off the beach saying, "I'm gonna find a new swimsuit on the boardwalk." Emma removes he hoodie and says, "maybe we're teasing Matt too much." Alex applies some sunscreen and exclaims, "but that's the fun part." Emma crosses her arms and responds, "I'm serious. You want HIM to have fun, right?" Alex goes, "yeah..." Emma points a finger at her and says, "then you gotta start being nicer!" Alex pause for a moment and we can see the image of Matt standing on the bridge behind her. She shouts, "fine!" and Emma says surprised, "huh, that was surprisingly easy." Someone shouts, "okay, I found something!" Emma and Alex turn around saying, "already?" We see a skull engulfed in flames. Matt is revealed to have swim trunks with flames and a skull printed on them. He says, "much better." Alex holds back her laughter. As she struggles, Emma points at her and yells, "No! Stop! You promised!" Matt asks, "What? You got something to say?" A bag is unzipped to reveal a red ball. Alex says, "anyway... time to swim!" Alex, Emma, and Jacob all look into the distance. Matt looks at them slightly farther away. A foot splashes into the water. Alex and Emma walk through shivering and Alex comments, "ah! Water's a little chilly." Jacob pushes up his glasses and says, "fools. Walking slow makes you feel the cold LONGER as it takes more time to acclimate! The CORRECT method is obvious!" Jacob then dives into the water with a massive sploosh while Alex and Emma look on. Jacob surfaces and shouts, "okay no this is way worse!"

An article on the Facebook page for WJHL about how, "The states with the most ER visits for respiratory illnesses ranging from the common cold to COVID-19 are Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and New Hampshire, according to the CDC." Comments on a WJHL post from January 1, 2025, about flu cases rising. It's full of people saying masks don't work and how it's a plot by the government to bring back masks.

"We're going to be announcing very shortly a major tariff on pharmaceuticals." He said that will bring pharmaceutical production back to the United States.

i'm still annoyed 😭 bc i actually think IF bobby's death is a fakeout that would be a great story but the problem is they went about it in all the wrong ways losing so much trust from the fans. this is how they could've actually pulled it off which everyone would have loved. #911onABC
- actually plan out ur season so it's not at this random time with only 3 eps left - don't put it in the middle of all the buddie build up - give eddie an actual strong story arc & conclusion in texas and bring him home FIRST - don't put it before a hiatus - don't let the funeral leak - don't post the script leak on april fools causing ppl to think you're fucking with them - make the death actually heroic - if you have to make the suicidal character explain "i'm not killing myself bc i'm suicidal" start over - have everyone important involved - DON'T BRING IN FUCKING TOMMY? - end the episode on a CLIFFHANGER where we don't know if he died - next episode he "dies" but comes back by the end so we aren't left thinking u really killed him - since there's never time with interviews between the final death & resurrection u won't have to play in our faces with fake goodbyes
