Not quite the same thing, but there's a TVTrope called the "Bishonen Line" that's similar. Basically, it's when the more powerful a creature becomes, the more monstrous it becomes, until it crosses a line upon reaching it's most powerful form and becomes sleek and humanlike again. Example: Frieza.
