Now that I've finished it, I think DQ11's greatest flaw is rolling credits after act 2 and calling the last third of its story "post-game."
Both act 2 and 3 have some weaker moments but together, I enjoyed them greatly and the entire party is so much fun.

You know what? I think act 3 might be my favourite part of Dragon Quest XI.
(For many reasons, but one small one is that the characters often have more interesting things to say in party chat now that they don't have to give you 284 variations of "go here to continue the plot" in every location.)

I was today years old when I realized/found out that Vizzini Princess Bride and Grand Nagus Zek were played by the same person, despite both being part of my childhood. Thanks, mayoral election on the other side of the planet!

Notably, this is an international thing, too! My mum lives in a pretty small village in Germany and even here, there are several stores taking part. She's been kind of obsessed with her "surprise bags" from a nearby bakery. So it might be more worth checking if it's in your area than you think!
With SNAP/EBT cuts looming I highly recommend downloading this app! Basically restaurants and other food businesses will have available bags of random food they don’t wanna waste for ppl to buy for hella cheap! This has saved me sooooo many times when I only have $5 and need some food.

DQ2 is by far my favourite of the original Roto/Erdrick trilogy, so I'm happy to hear people speak so highly of its HD2D version. It'll be quite a while until I can get around to it (I'm in the middle of XI and would like to go back to III's remake first) but it sounds like it'll be a treat. :D

I see Time Stranger continues the Cybersleuth tradtion of making the same comments about your protagonist regardless of gender and making things a lot gayer if you play as the girl.

There's a lot going on right now, but I want to do one thing per month that's somehow related to that month to feel less like time's just passing by. Maybe for October, I can go back to playing a bit of Castlevania 1 (because spooky) each day(ish) and see how far I can get on one continue.

I still haven't decided if I want to get FF Tactics on steam or switch because there's not much of a difference, but ngl, actually being able to play it tomorrow might push me over to switch. XD
(steam release is 6 or 7 in the evening, and then a 2h+ download, and I need to sleep early...)

Aww, they're removing several islands/presumably more minor story arcs from DQ7 Reimagined in another attempt to speed up the game's pacing?
Then I'll just play the original (and maybe this new version 5-10 years down the road if I ever want to replay it). Pity, I like the art style of the new one.
