the barenziah canon is so self-destructive that, in a setting where she only ever canonically appears during an invented timeline warping event that can cause narrative inconsistencies, they still need to write an extra layer of explanation for how barenziah is so uniquely inconsistent

barenziah is revealed to have a granddaughter present in skyrim, it's karliah, and in the same lorebook where it goes out of its way for several paragraphs to explain how nightingale was actually a different guy entirely and not tharn, it gets the uriel version wrong

hated it because low level + falmer dont mix but got it done
