Big fan of the first game, but this one’s much more of a mixed bag. A lot of levels are too big and make it way too easy to get lost. It’s at its most fun once you understand the level layouts and how they all connect. I recommend giving it a shot if you enjoyed the first game.

because holy shit, with our last playthrough being many years back on XBLA, i'd forgotten how bad that was - it isn't this bad for most of tooie on n64 either
this is an easy statement to make, but wow! this was not meant for keyboard controls, and the default of Q as crouch/Z is A Choice given that you have to hold it down while using WASD to move

...I wonder if Tooie will ever have the same luck?
What a time to be alive! XD
--------
Banjo-Tooie can be pretty wild! While taking photos for a thumbnail, I found I'm missing 20 notes in Terrydactyland. Where could they be...?
Hopefully not high up.

Still one of my favorite games of all time, and thanks to the Recomp for rendering the XBLA version obsolete LMAO
Now I sit in the Tooie Decomp/Recomp waiting room...

I love the fact that his burger item is used multiple times through the game too rather than a one-and-done.

a lot of what makes banjo-tooie absolutely ideal as an AP game is how interconnected the world is; the path from world 7 to world 1 that normally just gives 1 jiggy can have a lot more importance if world 7 is starting world, as an example
