This is a clip from my latest comic book episode where the cult's necromancer is raising undead Skeletons to fight off the incoming Shamandra (Daniel and Matay + the military bros) while the rest of the cultists race toward the summoning circle and the pillar of smoke to finish summoning the death specter. The Skeletons are surrounded by a purple glow that represents their undead aura

Favorite obscure or super specific animal species? Im thinking like axototl and stuff like that. Then they could try to out do each other and find something no one else has heard of. Idk my friends were giant nerds in high school so maybe other teens wouldn't be as amused by that.

Feeling very poorly (quelle surprise!) so tried for a nap.

The boys joined me which made the heat of the day even worse.

I left them to watch birds in the snow. It worked… for a bit.

Had cold shower - all three camped outside the bathroom door.

Picture this: my bedroom, not exactly a palace, but it'll do. There's the two latest rescue fluffballs, Rīx and Badger, perched on the edge of the bed, looking like they're about to spill some serious gossip.

Rīx, my little black panther x axototl x parrot, is all ears and eyes, glued to something happening outside the frame. Badger, my tuxedo-wearing drama queen, is perched on the bedpost, looking every bit the regal feline he thinks he is.

The bed itself? Well, it's seen better days, but it's got this old-school charm to it, with those fancy wooden posts (yes now scratch posts with intricate carved runes that one day may start a made up religious war) and that faded blue and yellow to now bleaching white stripey comforter. It's like a stage for my furry thespians. And those two? They're totally engrossed in their own little cat theater, whispering secrets and judging the birds that they never see through the many sunny windows of the house in the neighborhood. Plus I imagine what on earth is that white substance they are standing in?

It's a moment, you know? One of those everyday things that makes you smile. You can almost hear Rīx saying, 'Did you SEE that bird?!' and Badger replying with a dramatic sigh, 'Oh, the drama!'

amazing creatures, I went to an urban farm a while ago which used them to purify water or some purpose like that I don't recall, anyway we fed them live worms it was v exciting

In this 2022 issue, a group of four papers profiles amphibian and reptile brain neurons with single-cell transcriptomics.
