One of the biggest pieces I’ve varnished.
I’ve only got one more to go he’s also a large piece length wise😮‍💨
I’m pleased as it’s been a journey from start to finish. But over the course of teaching myself how I’ve found what love to do.

There are many people who post photos, but the quality of what you post rises to high art. Also as others have said, you are also authentic, interesting, and thoughtful. Thanks for sharing your journey.

So, yea, I have A LOT to unpack and relearn. It's quite a journey trying to reconnect to something I didn't know and wasn't allowed.

I think my art reflects that. It's one reason I explore Puerto Rico through its flora.

Hey! Request: a Puerto Rican native bird. 😘

character from my fantasy novels. his name is Humbug. his dream was to dig to the center of the world all by himself. he dug for 60 years using his self built dig-o-matics. throughout the journey his hands and feet calcified. the pink thing on his back is the dig-o-matics' liquid power source.

I've watched Dyson's art journey since... Jeez I dunno, 2014? His work has come so incredibly far.
This kept me up an hour later than planned.

BUT DAMN SON, THIS WORKED.

In 2024, I committed to drawing every day for six months. It challenged me in ways I never expected and helped me understand that improving as an artist and as a person are the same journey.

New post is up about art as process, friction burns and reinventing Protestantism from first principals.

something I've been wondering about a lot during my art journey this past is when the act of drawing becomes less of an uphill battle

Finished reading Doctor Strange of Asgard. Really dug this one, I don't read much Thor so it was fun to explore Asgard with the Doc. Look forward to exploring the differences of Asgard magic vs. Earth magic as Strange continues on his journey. Loved Magno & Grundetjern's art in this book #comicsky

I wanted to reconnect with my art, so I started drawing our fluffy one-eyed dog. We decided to create a sticker from one of those drawings.
The magic of holding the finished product was inspiring!
I asked my spouse if he would join me on this journey and here we are, opening a business together ♡
