Note that I have a semi-realistic (low fantasy) universe, so it's already a real world, just with some non-real-world elements.
Kenneth Julienne Reston. He's a transmasc hispanic fifth generation illusion magician. He mostly uses his illusory abilities to disguise that he's jacked as fuck. He has a condition that makes it so that he never bleeds, but scars appear immediately when he's wounded. When he was a teenager, he found, rescued, and rehabilitated what looked like a weird centipede but was actually a spine demon. That demon slashed out his left eye in self-defense, but grew to accept him and the two gained a strong bond. That demon now protects him, shapeshifting into weapons to help him defend himself and his friends. Had Kenna never discovered that demon, he'd probably have ended up living a quiet, boring, normal life, most likely in a customer service job or in entertainment, using his illusory abilities to entertain the masses with a little bit more intense stuff than your average street magician has up his sleeve. Ezram [full name hidden out of respect for demon tradition]. He's the son of a demon father and an angel mother, many generations and familial branches separated but still related to Satan himself. His mother tried to raise him to be holy, but the demonic traits started to show up and he started asking difficult questions, until he finally realized why he was in the situation he was. Earth feared his superhuman abilities, Heaven shunned his demonic blood, and Hell mocked his angelic physique. He was an abomination to all. He got thrown through reality in a particularly bad twist of fate and ended up in the Abyss, essentially the garbage disposal of Hell, created out of pure entropy so strong that it shreds the very being of anyone who ends up there, leaving nothing but useless wasted energy to be recycled into newly spawned beings by the higher levels of reality. After five literal years - which to his perception in his dream state was actually several millennia - he woke up and found God, hiding in the midst of His mind-shredding trash heap, trying to escape His creation, afraid of the failure He had made. Had he never found God, he would have probably crawled back out of the Abyss and become a sort of god in his own right, showing that there is indeed something worse than Hell, and pulling the Hazbin Hotel maneuver of trying to get sinners out of Hell - just not with as kosher of methods as Charlie tries to use, mostly with some insidious smuggling and identity theft to illegally transplant hellions into the low tiers of Heaven. Atticus Rex, the only entirely non-real-world creature in this group. He is a product of Ezram's mind fighting to survive the Abyss by creating a universe inside itself. Atticus is the patron creature of the planet Hemoterra, an alien satellite that joined Terra's moon in orbit when Atticus had to flee his homeworld (he destabilized its core by killing its patron creature, Hephaestus). Atticus is the final form of a simpler creature, Axis, whose life cycle consists of four parts - adolescence, fatal coma, maturation, planetization. Atticus is in the maturation stage, after his previous form, Axis, was mortally wounded and fell into the fatal coma stage. Had he never been wounded, the adolescence stage would have led him to die of exhaustion - essentially of old age, but really dying of old age is just body parts getting exhausted from running so long, so it's the same thing - before ever having a chance to reach maturity. Atticus's real-world counterpart would be a redhead who got into a horrible accident but survived, albeit paraplegic and without a left arm. He would have chosen an unconventional prosthetic that would help him with precision tasks while still having some brute force applications, and he would build his own motorized partial exosuit for his legs to be usable again, along with the neural interface necessary for the legs to work as intended. While he wouldn't have wings, he'd definitely have the ability and the expertise to build them, should he need them.
