visiting Ut Fenneweald. He meets Eordaig Dwelain, together they travel. But I keep switching between a more omniscient viewpoint, the content of the travellogue and the interactions of the author with his envirionment. Ugh. In an other setting, I have Siddeon Trusk heir-apparent to the Njord throne

My worldbuilding was mostly worldbuilding-for-worldbuilding? Just ideas on ideas all the way down. But to interact with the world, you need stories (apparently! so weird) so there isn't really a MC yet. I've done some writing in a travellogue style, in that case the author is a sea dwarf scholar
#JanuaryWorldbuilders, tell me about your MC's (or another important character if you don't do MCs) role in society. Are they upper or lower class? What job/tasks do they do as part of this society? Are they even a member of a society?

Fockesz (pre-industrial Computation Theological), Sadko (Hanseatic League mobster-oligarchy). I've done two playtest-like Daggerheart oneshots in Ut Fenneweald. And starting to write a bit of an travellogue in a 'grimdark/rural gothic/deep ecology style'

I'm now trying to figure out if I go immediately back to the beginning to re-reread and pick up all the nuances that I missed, or go immediately to the next stories in this continuity (which I also read some three decades ago) while the denouement of "Travellogue" is still fresh in my mind.

For some reason I'm still not clear on, last weekend I decided to start a reread of @elfsternberg.bsky.social's interplanetary interspecies teen romance novel "Travellogue", from the exceedingly nsfw "Journal Entries" setting, for the first time in about 30 years.

I used to navigate using well worn and annotated Shell Guides, could never face the harshness of Pevsner, I do wonder if there is a market for a travellogue with an archaeologist, a social geographer and a historian traversing a county an episode finding interesting things - sounds ripe for BBC4

Finished game. Honestly, loved photo mode for being able to make "Rook's whacky travellogue" a consistent thing

It's a kind of hauntology travellogue of the last era of a lost London, where men still wore lounge suits as everyday wear, pre Internet, pre smoking ban. Echoing Nairn, Meades, even Betjemen. I can't put my finger on exactly what though.
