400 steps down to the islet.
Another climb to the top of the lighthouse.
Then 400 steps back up the cliff.
A wonderful visit to #SouthStack, then on to #ChurchBay, to enjoy hot sunshine in May, and dinner at #TheLobsterPot

South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey. The seabirds were busy nesting and feeding, so our visit was accompanied by the sounds of their cries. Spring flowers festooned the grassy knolls. By the light at the top of South Stack, looking towards the climb back up the cliff.

I was out at Southstack Lighthouse this morning. The wind was so strong I thought my glasses would be blown off my face. I hope I got some decent pictures but hard to tell whether was rain on the lens.

Will see what they look like and post them if they look good.

There was originally 16 puffins but now there is only 13 as the peregrine has taken 3 😢 Nature is very sad. There are 28 choughs and last year they raised 20 young. #puffins #nature #rspb #southstack
