Writing papers that use AI hallucinations for citations is, as the whistleblower said, "scientific misconduct." Ironic when it's from a journal about ethics, and a paper about whistleblowing!

Did He CLONE Humans? The Truth Behind the World's Most Famous Scientific Scandal
What happens when a scientific messiah—a national hero poised to cure the incurable and change the world—is exposed as a complete and utter fraud? This is the unbelievable true story of Dr. Hwang Woo-suk, the South Korean superstar scientist who, in the mid-2000s, claimed to have done the impossible: he had cloned human embryonic stem cells. He was put on postage stamps, given billions in funding, and hailed as the man who held the future in his hands. There was just one problem: it was all a lie. In this episode, we dissect one of the most audacious cases of scientific misconduct in modern history. But this isn't just a story about data fabrication and a massive scandal. It's a deep dive into the psychology of deception and belief. We'll introduce you to the Halo Effect—the dangerous psychological bias that makes us blind to the flaws of our heroes and explains how Hwang fooled the entire world. From the brave whistleblower who risked everything to the shocking ethical breaches and criminal convictions that followed, this is a cautionary tale about ambition, the pressure to succeed, and the catastrophic consequences of a single lie. Ready to see how one of the biggest scientific discoveries of the century was built on a house of cards? Subscribe now for a story of ambition, deception, and the psychology of belief. Share this with anyone who loves a story about a hero's fall from grace.
