I am willing to bet ten whole british pounds that the journalist who wrote it has also written articles that attack trans people.
which is why terfs exist in a roundabout way - they identified the rage of women and decided, instead of pushing it towards actual social change, they'd put it on a false enemy. it's almost like terfs are inherently in bed with fascists. who know!
