AB into PO shenanigans, oh man. So that's what my wife hit me long ago when I played her in SC2 back in the day lol. The Taki matchup felt very rough too from what I remember, especially when I play too linear.

The SCR sprites are generally serviceable, but their cinematic models are what bother me especially. I'm fine with multiple variations of Zerg units, since you can play that off as a Brood-specific variation (see your own headaches about the giant pile of 'ling variants in SC1), but (1/2)

Fair enough- I would surface it differently, but I think it is good. The SC1 overlord is a tricky shape and the sprite is hard to parse, but there was never a better fan model before, though I don't think it got every feature right. And officially licensed art of SC1 overlords also missed the mark.

The SC:G overlord is another case where the arm/claw shapes end up SO similar to the SCR one that was only based off the SC1 sprite, that I am convinced the SCG artists must have had access to the SC1 model to base it off of.

From what I understand, SC2 borrowed heavily from Starflight series, didn't it? I've played SC2 and confirmed it's an all-timer. I've only seen screenshots of SF1 and 2 and SC2 looks as though it's a direct descendant, moreso than it was of SC1, even! Lol
