Phage Display Derived Antibodies Against Antimicrobial Peptide FsPDF2 Reveal Stress Response in European Beech
Plant defensins (PDFs) are cysteine-rich antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) that are important components of plant immunity. They occur constitutively in various plant tissues but are also upregulated upo....

Most gender critical religious activists are on a lot of blocklists, and have content warnings on their account, or phage otherwise had their accounts hidden my Bluesky moderation. So the pro-trans rights and GC religious accounts often can’t interact

Intra-phage immunity: Set a (pro)phage to catch a phage
In this issue, Brenes and Laub screen temperate phages for defenses against other temperate phages. This uncovers an array of prophage-encoded immune systems in E. coli. The work expands the concept o...

Templated trimerization of the phage L decoration protein on capsids - PubMed
The 134-residue phage L decoration protein (Dec) forms a capsid-stabilizing homotrimer that has an asymmetric tripod-like structure when bound to phage L capsids. The N-termini of the trimer subunits consist of spatially separated globular OB-fold domains that interact with the virions of phage L or …

I actually have been wondering about this for quite some time now, but never had time to follow it up, hece take this as chance to finally learn about this 😅. Is eDNA 'stored' in (pro)phage actually an established concept or will this only be a thing after your paper?

How I will be watching this years #ERCStG announcements: relaxed&happy, because I am one of the lucky ones 🫠 with PHAGE-PRO we will be exploiting prophages for phage therapy. Off to new grounds

We first show that the application of purified T4 phage across three mammalian cell lines led to rapid uptake and internalisation, but importantly, did not trigger a pro-inflammatory response.

This suggests that cells carefully traffick and process phage particles.
