Grateful for the kind responses to my KevinMD piece. Writing about humor, language, and connection in medicine reminded me that joy it’s a skill we can all practice.

Peds-AYA survivors, now older teens-young adults who then became parents of #pedsonc patients. My daughter inherited a germ line mutation from me. Its interesting to see the first waves of high survival grow up and have their own kids. Wondering about the changes in stats for inherited risk.

Oh that is a great idea! I will do that for sure.

Its a great place for connection and I've been seeing a lot of AYA aged survivors joining themselves. Sometimes as parents of #pedsonc patients.

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS or other (non-LCH) dendritic or histiocytic sarcomas cases.
