Why can’t the NWSL schedule leak before tomorrow?

Reddit says the Denver Summit’s home opener will be vs the Spirit.

prob yes & also couldn’t even pay writers for awhile during its development

Yeah I figured. Back in January I thought that this would be a Cruise/McQuarrie year for the MI8 lead up, but then I watched over a dozen Vincent Price/Roger Corman movies lol #letterboxd

Pour bien commencer voila de quoi râler sur mes goûts douteux ! Tier list des films que j'ai vus en 2025
Un pire film mais pas de meilleur film, bien que la liste des bangers soit un peu triée quand même.

As a fan who’s been largely on board with the franchise through its highs and lows (not buying MI2’s revisionism though), I still can’t quite believe how terrible MI8 is

I used MI8 as my literal gage for what was and wasn't good this year.

Within each grade it's a bit loose. Bring Her Back might actually belong above 28 Weeks Later, but it's a close run thing, and since I didn't do this list as a running thing throughout the year there's some elasticity. I'm shocked how many things ended up below MI8, because that was terrible.

Steve, (based on Max Porter's "Shy"), was the standout film for me in 2025. But probably bettered by the mini-series Adolescence. Both were stark, gritty and gripping. A million miles from Hollywood fluff.

The only film I saw at the cinema this year was MI8. And that was a huge disappointment.

Watched the MI8 Final Reckoning on Sunday to close out a great film series.

It peaks somewhere in the middle of the set for me (probably Fallout). Agree Ghost Protocol is great.

Has come a long way from the first 1996 one slowly transitioning from spy/espionage to more action.

I fail to describe what sort of irony it is that the plot of MI8 seems to have been written using Grok and the screenplay with the free version of chatgpt. IA shall take over using stupidity and boredom

Having re-watched "MI8: Final Reckoning" a few times now, I have to say my favorite part is that we see William Dunloe again, that he plays a pivotal role, and that according to him, his life turned out just fine, actually.

not trying to knock the craft that went into the rest categorically (mi8 esp has a handful of incredible sequences) but they all felt a lot more "about" themselves as products first-- sequels/remakes that are bogged down in recapturing their predecessors, cynical brand exercises in general
December 13, 2025 at 11:02 PM
That said, Cruise should step down and hand the heroics to a new lead. Were I in charge, Hunt would have died saving the world in the climax of MI7. At the end of MI8, the team is mourning Hunt's loss, when they're handed a tape. Cruise's voice: "Your mission, should you choose to accept it..."
