The ad emphasizes the expansion program and its benefits. We are short of Long Distance telephone circuits now but We plan to add 2,100,000 miles of them to the Bell System in the next twelve months. That is as many Long Distance circuits as there were in Great Britain and France before the war. That may not be enough, the way people want to talk now, but if you will give us a little time we will get circuits enough no matter how many you want. Our program is more circuits, more jobs, and a return to Bell System standards of service just as soon as it can be done.
