I get why #PDFDing was inspired by #LinkDing. Now I wish there were Linkding-style app for code snippets and note-taking. Just a simple dark-themed interface backed by just SQLite for the database. #Selfhosting

steal away! the software is linkding if you wanna self host it, it's really cool even has an API and browser extension and everything. (also if you wanna join my instance feel free to DM me i love adding people)

linkding now stores a snapshot of links you add both on disk and on the wayback machine, cool!

I like this idea. I write "zet" notes using a CLI I wrote which eventually via GH actions gets appended to a log on my hugo blog. It works decently but has a few moving parts
Linkding stores links I want to keep but maybe I should be putting them on my blog too. Might 'tee' them to both. Love it

Moved my Linkding install off PikaPods to my local server. It's Docker based, so I had to spin up a VM and am running Docker in there (apparently Docker doesn't run on LXC containers very well) and am just doing multiple port forwarding. Simply exported the old bookmarks and imported them again […]
FWIW, linkding is looking like it has a decent community around it along with managed hosting options (linkding.link/managed-host...) and page snapshot support (github.com/sissbruecker...)
(and yes I also mentioned archivebox earlier, still love that too but for more structured site archiving)

Huh. I ran into exactly the same problem as Immich when I set up a Linkding install on my personal hosting. It seems Google have become allergic to any kind of hosted login pages, seeing them as phishing attempts. immich.app/blog/google-...

Huh. I ran into exactly the same problem as Immich when I set up a Linkding install on my personal hosting. It seems Google have become allergic to any kind of hosted login pages, seeing them as phishing attempts. immich.app/blog/google-...
moved my bookmarks from espial to linkding. it's quite nice. i used authelia for SSO but configured caddy so that it excludes the shared path (+ static assets), so my shared bookmarks can be publicly viewed

I did read about linkding, and it definitely looks like what I want, but oof I'm going to have to figure out Docker as well, but, tbf, I'd probably have to do that anyway.

I use linkding, but it's primarily a bookmarking app. I've never used Pocket, so I'm not sure if it saves full text articles and if that's what you're looking for. There are plenty of options in this space though, just check out awesome-selfhosted.net

ローカルLLMもそろそろ行けるという話を聞いて、前から「RSSからしっかり読むやつ選別する時に、英語だと無意識に飛ばしちゃうな〜」という課題があったのでRSSで流れてくる記事全てをローカルLLMに突っ込んで日本語要約をつけるようにしてみた
構成としては、miniflux(RSS)→sakuraのVPS上で動くArchivebox(webpage取ってくる)→自宅サーバで動くローカルLLM(ollama, Llama 3.1 (8B))→linkding(Bookmark)という流れ。
