I have no idea why this hasn't made its way to here in Ireland, to add to the gazillion ways we eat potatoes!

AETの先生はアイルランド人。放課後の職員室で時々英語で雑談。Do people in Ireland still speak Irish?と聞いたら、Not anymore, unfortunatelyという返事。日常会話も英語で交わされ、アイルランド語は学校の授業でチラッと学ぶ程度らしい。今はどうかな…。アイルランドは漢字で愛蘭と書くみたい。

Back in Ireland last summer while the Oasis concert was happening. About half the discourse was not about the music but about the use of dynamic pricing for tickets, which seemingly left everyone feeling worse off. Because of loss aversion, ppl focus on the sense they are being ripped off.
i absolutely hate this genre of economicsplainer that tries to justify basically any practice as being the rational and good outcome of properly aligned incentives, in the process completely missing the point. www.economicforces.xyz/p/instacarts...

If someone supports imperialism or colonialism in any way, shape, or form, then they're not an anarchist.

Gaddafi wasn't perfect, but he was trying to do right by his people, and also sent guns and money to the IRA to fight the Brits. There are murals of him in Northern Ireland.

...in the UK and Ireland we measure the state of the economy by the price tag of a Freddo.

A chocolate bar 🐸 that until around 2008(ye that year) had been 10p. You could feed a classroom of 30 kids with a stock box for less than £10. it would barely dent yours wage.

1 freddo costs 30p-45p now 💀

Well done Ireland you have well and truly snuffed nature but relentless war on nature continues until there is only a concrete jungle left
