Monitoring at Ingoldisthorpe yesterday resulted in 42 birds, 13 Blue Tit, 1 Dunnock, 3 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Great Tit, 1 Goldfinch. 7 Goldcrest, 3 Meadow Pipit, 5 Reed Bunting, 2 Robin & 5 Wren. Cetti's increasing at the site and Jack Snipe seen. @btobirds.bsky.social @norfolknats.bsky.social

24/10 Our GMS trap in Hunstanton = NIL. There was a macro in our shed, couldn't find it this morning.

Other local moth-ers were more successful, a Figure of 8 was found at Ingoldisthorpe, at Holme NOA they had 9 Rusty-dot Pearls, Oak Rustic & a late Dark Arches. #teammoth #norfolkmoths

Monitoring Ingoldisthorpe today resulted in 73 birds, manly one Tit flock of over 40 birds, but this also included 3 Blackbirds, 5 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush, a Chiffchaff, Reed Bunting, 2 Cetti's Warbler and 3 Bearded Tit @btobirds.bsky.social @norfolknats.bsky.social

Monitoring Ingoldisthorpe today resulted in 49 birds, 9 of which were at the site previously. 43 Warblers of 5 species with quite a few juveniles now around, as shown by these Sedge Warblers - adult left and juvenile right, then the other way around @btobirds.bsky.social @norfolknats.bsky.social

17 hours in the field today for another crack at a Snettisham day list. 119 species, all on foot from Ingoldisthorpe including Spotted Redshank, Little Ringed Plover, Goshawk, Short eared Owl, Garden Warbler, Fieldfare and 4 Ring Ouzel #Norfolkbirding #UKbirding Missed Bullfinch, no Willow Warbler

We managed to get our ☕️ sitting in the sun in Snettisham, before a bit of #churchcrawling.

Yes, the key was as you described in Ingoldisthorpe (for our first visit) & Shernborne was as interesting as before. We were last in the latter apparently in 2019.

Snettisham will be open of course, Ingoldisthorpe has a keyholder to the south of the church, if they're out then the key is hanging in the porch! And neighbouring Shernborne has to my mind one of the very best 12th Century fonts in all East Anglia - also open.
