The 2024 BTO ringing report is out, and one of our Water Pipit project birds has set a new UK longevity record for Water Pipit.
Congratulations to Stephen Edwards who ringed the bird at Cantley Beat Factory roost and the observers at Strumpshaw Fen.

Monitoring at Ingoldisthorpe yesterday resulted in 42 birds, 13 Blue Tit, 1 Dunnock, 3 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Great Tit, 1 Goldfinch. 7 Goldcrest, 3 Meadow Pipit, 5 Reed Bunting, 2 Robin & 5 Wren. Cetti's increasing at the site and Jack Snipe seen. @btobirds.bsky.social @norfolknats.bsky.social

At the end of the Nightjar season we are very proud to have completed the first year in collaboration with Natural England facilitating the study of feeding areas away from the breeding site. 20 birds ringed of which 14 were pulli, 6 GPS tags fitted with 5 retrieved, which obtaining some good data.
