So finished ZA yesterday, and man it was really good, surprisingly so actually. Even without counting the upcoming DLC, it felt like a well put together and filled out game. Obviously prerelease DLC announcements suck, but unless they come out way after the fact, DLC is usually indev before release-

I said 3 months or less to play it safe, but Eastward managed to finagle its way to a nomination 2 full years prior to release with a ~10 hour indev build that became less finished as you go, realistically as long as ppl can see what's great about the game anything can be better than a demo imo lol

I'll blog about this after the compo is over this year but i strongly feel that if you submitted a nextfest demo to IGF and your full game releases in 3 months or less, you'd significantly increase your chances of winning something if you submitted an indev build instead
