12 years ago, the Supreme Court decided our genes can’t be patented. That landmark ruling protected access to genetic testing and medical innovation. Now, Congress is trying to undo it with the PERA act.

At Disney thinking of a patient my 1st yr as a genetic counselor who, after being told she had breast cancer AND a gene that meant aggressive treatment the week b4 Thanksgiving. She asked if it could wait bc she was going to Disney w/her grandkids. I was stunned #genechat 1/2
